"Weary of myself, and sick of asking
what I am and what I ought to be,
At the vessel's prow I stand which bears me
Forwards Forwards
o'er the starlit sea...
Mathew Arnold
1800's"
I like this excerpt because it articulates so clearly that in-the-moment exhilaration that makes sailing so special to me. It also reminds me that the questing within is timeless.
Sailing is one of my passions. When the water sparkles like a million diamonds flashing...or that water tinkles musically along the hull, that does it for me! Sailing is an in-the-moment experience like none other and I hope one day to sail around the world...er, well at least take my husband snorkeling in the Carribbean.
